Technical Co-Founder and COO @FairlyAI - inspired by all the amazing mother raising successful children while leading successful businesses and careers!
@thebigreddog22@AngelaSterritt I agreed @thebigeeddog22 …Imagine my surprise when my kids came home from kindergarten (Cambridge,MA) and asked me to help them pick their skin color from 24 “colors of the world” crayons “am I light, very light, extra light +peach/almond/rose…” I couldn’t do it!!! :-D
Having started my career right before the dot com bubble…this article from @TechCrunch resonates: “trust is more important than ever” instead of just story telling and social skills (I’d add revenue is also important as well) https://t.co/5DrbiQsyCj
Didn’t realize that I was the first ever female president of the Computer Science Student Union at University of Toronto until I met the one that came 10 years after me at a party this week. TBH, I didn’t think being a woman is a disadvantage until I join the startup world!
#1: Get rip of mother's "worry work" so you can focus on your startup's "worry work!" Took me the longest to figure this one out so I want to share this one first! I have a stay-at-home partner who takes care of all worry work at home!! Lucky, I know ;-) https://t.co/94F68YuoFI
A little late but in honor of #InternationalWomensDay (month), I made a new goal: to share with other female founders what worked and what didn’t in my journey as an early stage startup founder with young kids in the hope that it will help someone out there in the universe ;-)
