@mwalkerwells @samson_hu @linear_magazine The narratives I’ve come across made me think many people were just out of touch - ex: a couple who bought two places in SR bc they thought flying cars were imminent and all the young folk from SF would just fly in. Not sure if they’re still there but their new tesla is for sale
@mwalkerwells @samson_hu @linear_magazine Agree. Though many places can feel that way. And more so when you don’t need to interact with the community as an owner. Many owners bought because they thought airbnb premiums would be high, not bc they want to be there themselves. Different dynamic from places like LI or Napa

Because they are more concerned with how things appear than the impact they actually make? Or is the impact so trivial that it doesn’t matter any way? For things so contentious it shouldn’t be the Supreme Court but Congress that decides.
@dcinvestor Tend to agree. Funds don’t have the personal emotional attachment that comes with the purchase. If a small fund, then maybe it makes sense if they spread bets. But the larger the fund it seems the bigger the shot in the foot.
