The #RDKB EOC has been activated to a level 3 due to the Goosmus Wildfire south of Danville, WA. The fire is moving north toward the US/Canada border. Tactical evacuations are occurring. Evacuees are asked to check in at the Red Cross reception centre at the Grand Forks Arena.

On August 6, 2024, at 8:38 p.m. Trail and Greater District RCMP and Kootenay Boundary Regional Fire Rescue responded to a fire underneath the west end of the Victoria Street Bridge, in downtown Trail, BC.

Trail Firefighters Local 941 just spent two days doing rope rescue training and confined space training scenarios. Members trained on repelling,patient pickoffs,steep embankment rescue and confined space rescues. These are just two of the technical rescue services we provide.
