when you read dany's chapters carefully you see just how much of the literature and myth of greek and roman antiquity george layered into them. for example, “dragons plant no trees” is clearly inspired by the birth of the meliads, tree nymphs born of uranus' blood, especially

Everyday I think about the fact that Dany was most likely supposed to sing Drogon a song in valyrian after he gets hit by a spear in 7x04. Would have done so well with her song/fire motif.

this line of thunder perfect mind also reminds me of dany but in a different way. there are so many people who claim to love her but actually hate everything about her (ancestors, found family, values, and dany fans), so much so their love is actually hate

dany says robert’s great shadow had lain across her since her birth and theon says the shadow of ned’s greatsword had always been between them. ned and robert caused dany and theon to always look over their shoulder and to feel that they never quite belonged anywhere.
