The U.S. Senate just passed the Social Security Fairness Act by a vote of 76 to 20. Congratulations to all professional fire fighters, who will now be eligible for all of the social security benefits you are owed! It has been a long time coming.
After this photo I may as well close up shop because I don't know that I'll ever be able to top this one. This is the H.D. Pearce Bookstore in Runnels City, Texas, circa 1885. It was the actually the first business in Runnels City and, as you can see, also served as the post office. Runnels City was located about 4.5 miles north of the current city of Ballinger.
I just don't even know how to begin to tell you how great I think this image is. AMAZING!
Every year on the anniversary of #DDay, French citizens take sand from Omaha Beach and rub it onto the gravestones of fallen soldiers who gave their lives to liberate Europe.
It gives the letters a golden shine.
They do this for all 9,386 American soldiers buried there.
I have found to enjoy reading now more than ever. Or listen to books, shall I say. Maybe I’m just getting older and hopefully wiser. Any suggestions from yall? Maybe I will start a Book Club. Encourage your kids to read. #txlege#WalleWorld#ReadingGoals
