If we want to walk the talk about expanding the pace and scale of prescribed fire, we could light off fires like the #SitesFire under today's conditions and burn five to ten thousand acres at a time with pretty minimal risk to anything. Not all #GoodFire is low intensity!

Very early on July 10, 2017 I received a call about a lightning caused #fire 🔥 Revisited the Verdant Ck fire area today to see how the land has recovered in the past 7 year. Cool to see the #wildfire themed trail 🔥🌲🥾 @KootenayNP

@amonthei I ask folks if they can predict 3 days into the future, then ask how reasonable it is to predict an entire fire season 🔥 We need to be prepared regardless because we can't stop it from happening. Same goes for anxiety over what it will bring. No use worrying, just be prepared 🔥
