Phosphaturic mesenchymal tumor is often associated with oncogenic osteomalacia that vanishes on excision of the neoplasm. Targeted therapy exists for aggressive examples. Dr. Andrew L Folpe can be credited with sorting out the underpinnings of this neoplasm. PMID: 14707860

This chest wall neoplasm is the old "Askin tumor". Early discussions concerned Ewing's sarcoma versus primitive neuroectodermal tumor. They're subsumed under Ewing's sarcoma now. So much has changed and so much has not. #UMiamiPath
