There was a rare break in the clouds last night, allowing for subtle aurora display. The pilots were also flying airplanes without worrying about volcanic ash. Serenity!
#NOAA's HRRR Vertically Integrated Smoke profile from 12Z today shows very few smoke-free U.S. locations with #CaliforniaWildfires smoke wrapping around TS #Genevieve and reaching into Mexico and Canada as well.
70s/80s F are abundant across so. MN/WI. However, look at what's lurking up north...40s & 50s F. The clash of these two air masses will fuel a major Spring STORM over MN this weekend.
Appleton Firefighter Killed in Line of Duty
The Appleton Fire Department is saddened to announce the line of duty death of a 14-year veteran of the fire department.
Funeral arrangements for the firefighter are still pending. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

@Delta curious why passengers on flight arrived late due to crew time-out are all getting hotel vouchers. Us who are boarding 3 hrs late (arriving at destination at 1am 😢😴) and had to cancel hotels/plans as well do not??
