@gurt_004@Retro1872@BrodieOnLinux It’s easier than that - they can just use some non-compliant Linux distribution or android ROM downloaded from the internet.
@JJOC0205@number_pizza111 150 years ago, what’s now called Seoul had been the capital of a unified Korea for 500 years. Mexico City has dominated Mexico since the Aztecs. Changing state structures often don’t change the dominant cities in a region.
@PhelimBirch@arisroussinos Actually, the main demographics in wales that speak Welsh are the very old and the very young. 1/4th of Welsh students are in Welsh medium schools. Compare that with 1/20th in Ireland in Irish language schools.
@KingArthurOfOld@jakeL2021@jonnyceepembs@LloydCymru The entire point of this thread is that Wales does not have devolved powers over immigration. I was explaining how the power to close HMOs does not at all stop immigration to wales or local councils, it just makes housing more expensive…
@not_a_jug I feel like Estonia is the only Baltic country that really should go in Northern Europe since it’s a Finnic-speaking, traditionally Protestant country. Latvia I guess as well was a Protestant country that had some ties with Scandinavia. Lithuania is purely Eastern European.
@jakeL2021@jonnyceepembs@LloydCymru To be clear, by stopping HMOs from being formed, you are only making local rent prices more expensive. Plenty of native British people live in HMOs because they cannot afford to live elsewhere. Nobody would live in HMOs if there were enough houses in this country.
@AledSCFC The consolation if Reform gets into power here is that perhaps the rest of the UK might realise that they’re a load of populist snake oil salesmen who have no clue how to actually govern.
