Children’s rights group Salinlahi leads a protest action outside the Manila Police District HQ in Manila to condemn the violent arrest of minors who participated in the anti-corruption protest last September 21.

Salinlahi reports that 91 minors have been detained so far. In a Facebook post, NUPL President Atty. Ephraim Cortez revealed that there is information spreading that the minors nabbed in Mendiola will be brought before Mayor Isko Moreno to be reprimanded. Atty. Cortez that this would be a violation of children’s rights to due process and protection from humiliation.
