Yesterday chaired mtg of international affiliates of @MetabolomicsSoc (thx @jjjvanderhooft for photo). One initiative that may kick off by end of year is to establish 'affiliate training network', supporting short term intl research visits of early-career scientists.

As a community we could have a better idea of the breadth of metabolites in a normal plasma sample; determine consensus values for specific molecules; identify methods best suited to a class of compounds; confirm methods that work well for a majority of chemical classes. Help us!
