It used to be that our families taught us these skills growing up because their survival depended on it. Not so any longer. Schools today feed, clothe, medicate, counsel, transport and behaviorally manage kids to the point that parents are just the biological pods that delivered their progeny to the school business machine. I say this as a teacher of shop classes in a public school.
@_wej01 So, it was a "principle" to boot him out based on how he made his choice. Got it. But what principle did you follow when you let a man you are not married to move in to live with you and the kids as if you are married?
"Government program" plus "taxpayer funds" are the only ingredients required to ensure fraud will occur at some level and some point. Not to be cynical but fraud has been around since Jesus was a corporal. A longgggg time. @elonmusk
Anyone else tired of the "but the other party will use it against when they are in power!" How about the voters will use their ballots against you numbnuts if you don't get the job done!
@Simon_Ingari Was the no-phone policy explained at the time of hire? If so, shame on the ex-employee. If not, shame on the company. No one puts a gun to your head to work there.
@aigkenham@aigkenham Ken, I am teaching on Scriptures and would love to hear your take on the "essentials" that we should be united as a body on. Would you please respond? Offline or a DM would be fine as well.
I am actually strong believer in the adage "just because you can doesn't mean you should" in life. Anyone else frustrated with modern conveniences that are marketed on having "bells and whistles" at the expense of ease of use and durability? @elonmusk
