What would happen if every member of the College Board (a "membership organization") emailed all the Trustees and asked them to take some serious action? #EMChat https://t.co/qDdNK8kn1E
@Jessica69906186@julie_filby Jessica, you just stated that the cost difference between $44,400 in 2017 and $37,600 in 2007 is only 6%. You might want to recheck your math before boldly making statements like that. You must be using the same calculator CB uses for their equating! #RescoreJuneSAT
@Jessica69906186 @RescoreJuneSAT_ @PamBondi Shame on you Jessica for saying things like this. People have reasons for taking the tests on different dates, maybe it wasn't possible for them to take it on another date, you're saying that no one should take the June SAT if they really need to? It's supposed to be standardized
@PamBondi Florida students just lost thousands of Bright Futures scholarships because of what the College Board did. Heartbreaking! Please help! #rescoreJuneSAT
@Jessica69906186 @RescoreJuneSAT_ @PamBondi Well Jessica, the rest of us don't think that it's OK for any students to lose their scholarships based on what the College Board just did to them and their scores based on this proven outlier test, Hence #RescoreJuneSat@amygop @FLGovScott @BetsyDeVosED@BadassTeachersA
@Jessica69906186 @RescoreJuneSAT_ @PamBondi You don't know that for certain & you also can't prove that. Maybe the appeals to the Florida Attorney General to investigate this will find out exactly how many there were. They should contact everyone that took the test & ask them how they were affected by this #RescoreJuneSAT
@Jessica69906186 @RescoreJuneSAT_ @PamBondi Wow, you went through 191 out of over 29,000? Bravo! What percentage is that? Less than 1%? I wouldn't say that's a very representative sampling. Try going through all 29,000 and you'll see a lot more. Like the mother with cancer begging for someone to help #RescoreJuneSAT
@Jessica69906186 @RescoreJuneSAT_ @PamBondi The ADR data is made up by the College Board at their whim with no transparency & they are not competent at it anymore since they started writing the tests in-house instead of using ETS, the test was tied to the Common Core & rushed to market for greed to get HS school contracts
@Jessica69906186 @RescoreJuneSAT_ @PamBondi Glad you finally agree with us! Proving is important, you can say "the June 2 SAT was easier" but that probably isn't true and definitely can't be proven. The College Board needs to be able to back up the statistics that they state but they refuse to.
@Jessica69906186 @annikarudolph12 So that's a really nice arrangement for the College Board, they get millions of tax-payer dollars yet they have no oversight or transparency to those same tax-payers. That doesn't seem very ethical to me. If a company takes tax-payer dollars there ought to be govt oversight
@Jessica69906186 @annikarudolph12 So are the school-day SAT's still the same difficulty levels as the other 7 SATs and are they all scored & equated the same? The College Board sold those states the tests to use for that purpose. Is this why the SAT was redesigned so they could sell it as an exit exam too? Money?
@Jessica69906186 @annikarudolph12 So Jessica maybe the College Board has shown that they aren't capable of producing & giving the SAT at the current volume ( you said over 10 per year?) Maybe they should go back to giving it as a college entrance exam & give a different test for the HS exit exams?
Can anyone else believe that she just said this? She's been defending the College Board for weeks but this statement is outrageous. Jessica says it's foolish for HS Seniors to take the June SAT & she thinks it's OK for some kids to lose their scholarships because of this!
@FixTheTest@PamBondi You can't prove that every kid that lost the scholarship did just because the SAT had a harsher curve in June. Also, it was foolish for these kids to wait until the last opportunity (June of their Senior year) to take the SAT. I can't say how many is fair but it wasn't thousands.
@Jessica69906186 @annikarudolph12 They should not vary in difficulty to the extent that the June 2 SAT did. And they should never have to throw out 4 questions & have it count against the students. That was unprecedented. That, in addition to the math fiasco. made this test an outlier & not "standardized"
@Jessica69906186@PamBondi So you agree that there are some cases and it's ok for them to lose their chance at college as long as there's not thousands? How many is too many Jessica? Is it ok for 100, 200? Why should they lose their future because of the College Board's mistake?
@Jessica69906186@PamBondi Because I've read their stories and I've talked to the office too. Even one kid losing their scholarship after 4 years of hard work and not being able to attend college is too much. How can you not see this? Have a heart!
@Jessica69906186 @annikarudolph12 If the College Board isn't capable of coming up with 50 math questions of the same difficulty level for each test then they should get out of the testing business. Teachers are able to do it. They don't reduce kids' scores after a test because they decide it was easier.
