Very sad that le Printemps des Champagnes has been cancelled this year due to the COVID-19 coronavirus. Health & safety are top priority, but I will miss the tastings & camaraderie. All the more reason to look forward to 2021. #printempsdeschampagnes#coronavirus#sadtimes
I am a huge fan of the @Bollinger_Int 2012 Grande Année. Bright, yet rich & concentrated, yet open. It is tasty now and will age gracefully. After a rough patch of vintage releases, the 2012 & 2008 have proudly declared Bollinger is back and a force to be reckoned with.
It doesn’t get much better than this dynamic duo. 2007 @CarnetsRuinart Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs and 2012 @LouisRoederer_ Cristal are stunning examples of the best their respective vintages can achieve. True wow, wow, wow wines. #Ruinart#Cristal#Champagne#Topwine
A spectacular duo from #champagne - 1995 @LouisRoederer_ from Magnum is still in its youth with a fresh, zippy, fruit and cream profile. 1990 @Krug is in a perfect spot with a nutty, creamy, biscuity profile with just a touch of spice. These two were well enjoyed.
@JeremySeysses Blind, you would never know the wine is the same. Longer lees aging by ~ 8 years, lower dosage by 3-4 g/L, & second fermentation under cork rather than crown cap have really made a difference in this vintage. I normally prefer an aged original release DP over P2, but not in 02.
Pair of 2002 Dom Pérignons. The original release is showing some sweetness from the overripe Chardonnay of the year, but the P2 is smoking good. Deep, intense concentration of fruit mixed with a touch of coffee and cream. I’m a big fan of the P2 in 2002.
One of the great creations of Dominique Demarville has been Clicquot’s Extra Brut Extra Old. The first edition rocked and the upcoming second is even better with a creamy, honeyed texture that knocks it out of the park.

The amazing Christophe Constant in the #Brice vineyards in #Bouzy. The wines here have always been good, but Christophe is taking them to the next level. The 2019s are very promising. This is a producer to watch over the coming years. Things are starting to get very good.
Only a few days tasting the 2019 Vins Clairs (or in many cases Vins 'Cloudy'), but I am mighty impressed. Easily the best vintage in #Champagne since 2012 & likely better. Dare I say it may be the best since 1964 or 1959? Too early to tell, but the potential is really there.
Very nice bottle of 2005 @guycharlemagne1 Mesnillésime this weekend. Very lively and full of citrus. The bottle was drained far too quickly. Folks need to stop hating on anything that says 2005 in Champagne.
Snow + Champagne = Good Times. When that Champagne is from Guillaume Selosse it becomes a great time. Wonderful bottles of 2012/2013 Largillier Pinot Noir and 2008/2009 bottle of Au-dessus du Gros Mont Chardonnay.

The vintage 2017 of L’Ermitage is blended and compared to the Roederer Estate MV rose base in the final tasting of the year. The tirage will soon start at @RoedererEstate ! I love the wrapped acidity of this vintage.
A visit to #Bereche is always a good thing. Their current lineup is stunning w/ the 2013 Beaux Regards, 2009 Le Cran, & 2012 based Reflet d'Antan my favorites.
