Agree on LEDs. BUT consultants were screwed over last time with promise of DDRB reform that never came. For me commitment to FPR is more important than single year deals.

I have had all night to think about the offer. There is a lot to like in it, especially for LEDs, but I remain reserved on the pay element.
@Ameer_Kotecha This is ill informed. London allowance is not for commuting costs (which are generally cheap that outside London) it’s for the cost of living here, which is higher irrespective of WFH.
I wrote this in a moment I never would have chosen. A sudden pause that made me see my life clearly.

@trentconsultant I think a new strike strategy is needed. The push not to cancel is so hard that the only people impacted by this are consultants. Managers bark out daily demands for a ‘strike plan’ send endless requests for spreadsheets to be filled.
@James_Saye@rorysutherland There are hardly any discretionary sellers. I’m seeing mostly probate or personal circumstances forcing a sale. Odd few delusional sellers clinging on for >6m but majority just not going on the market

@PeterLH90@moving_charlie Watch the micro market for a while. Likely those priced right go quickly, so if they’re right for you long term - go for it, but if they have been sitting for a month, send the agent a well reasoned aggressive offer. Within a week it will probably be reduced
@PauloNoggy I think there are micro stories here. Leasehold flat esp new builds with high services charges tumbling rapidly including in London. Big houses near good schools holding fast and well priced houses selling faster than ever.
@RoshanaMN There’s a perfect storm of a near absence of Iranian voices able to cut through the noise and legitimate anger with the US and Israel over Gaza. Perhaps even with the gulf states. That’s said, we should want for the Iranian people what we want for ourselves.
