Tyneside’s print traditions are deep-seated - indeed, in 18th century England only London, Oxford and Cambridge published more books than Newcastle - and this pub in Gosforth is another key site in that illustrious history.
May 2015. Afternoon of son in laws stag do at Newcastle Cluny. He was setting up for a gig that night, asked if we were going. Ashamed to say somebody in the company laughed. He kept his dignity and we then had a long chat about punk influences . Lovely man.
Bloody freezing the night. Being kept warm by copious amounts of Dutch beer and my favourite Christmas present. Takes me back to@ChinaDrum1Goosefair launch at High Spen with @billyfurious1st and Lynn. Nowt like being a 64 year old punk. This band really should have ‘made it’.
