Welcome, new followers!
You may not know this, but I talk about transmisogyny.
Also cute girls, sometimes racism, occasionally enbies, bits of ace rep, sex work decriminalization, plus misogyny, and social justice shitposts.
Mostly transmisogyny
Because fuck transmisogyny.
Anyway, this... most queer and trans theory is derived from a discourse whose fundamental preconditions don't really grasp trans women as subjects and especially don't grasp us as academics. "AFAB queers" enjoy writing more books about us tho

maybe it's that senior "afab queers" leverage birth assignment to not only generate the discourse but completely dominate the field of (trans)gender theory in which andrea long chu, despite considerable odds and hostility, continues to succeed with youthful aplomb
My wife, who works at our local Catholic school, was asked by a parent if the school intended to teach Critical Race Theory. She replied "explain to me what it is and I'll tell you if we teach it." The parent had no reply.
When I first discovered the trans community twenty years ago there were a handful of us even online, you'd need to go to other cities just to see another trans person.
This may be one of the reasons why white trans women experience lower rates of physical violence: we experience higher rates of access to housing, cars, and other privileges that each contribute to less exposure to hatred.
It's all racism and transmisogynoir.
most trans women i know do not go out regularly, i'm talking even pre-covid. a lot of us are completely overwhelmed and exhausted by trying to interact with society at all, and end up more reclusive for it. it's really fucking depressing actually
I completed some research into cishet culture and history, and I want to share some of my findings.
Historically, men preferred to be called "mails", because they didn't like the implication they were like "female" people but without the additional iron molecule.
@UmbralReaver Stories of anonymous donors covering trans treatment seem to have become less recognized since we now have GoFundMe and other crowd funding, where donations are spread out among more people.
@UmbralReaver Most trans people I know, of any class, donate towards trans surgeries.
Many have had surgery or other treatment cost mysteriously waived. It's often anonymous.
$50k * 10 = $500k. A million dollars doesn't go far for the few trans millionaires

@TransRightsMOVE This is a personal attack.
Make your point about what you want your followers to do, and leave Chase out of it.

@ewindisch Thank you for providing that caveat. I meant only gender dysphoria, and I want to distinguish dysmorphia because I hear it confused so often.
I don't know who needs to hear this, but dysphoria and dysmorphia are different conditions
Dysphoria only affects trans people and has many highly successful medical treatments
Dysmorphia is a mental health diagnosis that is not medically treatable
