Florida's largest state labor federation representing over 500 local labor unions, labor councils, and over a million workers, retirees and their families.
A strong majority of Floridians support labor unions in a recent poll.
“I’m very optimistic...There’s an organic nature to why people are in labor unions in spite of being up against forces that have all the money and all the megaphones.”

🚨ENDORSEMENT ALERT🚨
“Annette has consistently stood with the people who keep Florida’s economy moving and has never lost sight of what working families need from their government. As our next Chief Financial Officer, she will bring the experience, integrity, and leadership needed to protect Floridians, safeguard taxpayer dollars, and make sure Florida’s financial decisions put working people first. We are proud to endorse Annette and look forward to working with her to build a stronger Florida.” — Rich Templin, Florida AFL-CIO Director of Politics
"The purpose of a ballot summary is to explain what an amendment would do, not to advocate for its adoption." We're happy to see the court recognize Amendment 3 for how misleading it truly is—a burden and cost shift on working families being disguised and sold as "savings."
Good morning. Story coming momentairly: In an 18-page ruling issued late last night Circuit Court Judge David Frank rules that Amendment 3 is misleading and filled with political slogans & needs to be rewritten.
Florida's largest teachers union, the United Teachers of Dade, appears to have prevailed in its latest recertification election conducted by the state.
It's a win for the state's labor movement against anti-union policies—targeting teachers unions—championed by Gov. DeSantis.
Juneteenth is more than a commemoration—it is a call to action.
This day reminds us that liberation, representation, and participation are more than ideals; they are rights worth protecting.

✊ UNION BACKED ✊
I’m honored to earn the endorsement of the @FLAFLCIO.
Congressional District 2 runs on the hard work of teachers, nurses, first responders, tradespeople, public employees, and the workers who keep our farms, ranches, and local businesses moving. They deserve a representative who will fight for good-paying jobs, affordable healthcare, retirement security, and the right to organize.
For too long, working families in North Florida have watched costs go up while Congress gets bogged down in politics and special interests. I’m running to change that and I’m honored to have labor’s support and ready to take North Florida’s voice to Washington. 💪🇺🇸
Grateful to spend the evening with the @FLAFLCIO, and for the energizing conversations about how we fight back against unprecedented union busting.
Our unions are under attack in Tallahassee and DC, and we need leaders who are ready to stand up for labor, pass the PRO Act, and fight for good-paying union jobs right here in Central Florida.
Had a great time last night in Orlando at the @FLAFLCIO candidate reception.
I was the only CFO candidate there —because I have always stood with labor, and I always will.
Working families deserve a CFO who fights for them. I’m in. 🔥
.@transportworker locals 291, 555, 556, 568 & 570, proud to join union leaders, activists, and advocates from across Florida @ Florida AFL-CIO 2026 COPE Convention. Together, we're building worker power, strengthening our voice, and fighting for working families. @FLAFLCIO#1u
For everyone yelling at me that school taxes are exempt: here is Gov DeSantis confirming those taxes are NOT exempt in his proposal.
Eliminating school homestead property taxes will cost FL schools $8.6B
🚨ENDORSEMENT ALERT🚨
The Florida AFL-CIO is proud to announce its endorsement of @JoseJavierJJR as the Attorney General for our working families! Read more on our website post here: https://t.co/2c64c1E3EZ
Today, on a day meant for appreciation of the countless hard working Floridians that make this state great, our Governor took the opportunity to pass blatantly anti-worker legislation and side with wealthy special interests instead. We stand with our workers this #MayDay ✊
As FL Gov. DeSantis prepares to sign into law an anti-union bill (SB 1296) on International Workers Day, GOP supporters fail to mention that this won't just affect their political enemy—teachers unions—but all public sector unions, save for the cop and firefighter unions.

The economist Arindrajit Dube believes that the answer to fixing America’s wage problem is to empower workers and set mandatory wage standards across industries. https://t.co/qN4jQNpPhG
