@Cocolh44 Sometimes. I don't always have cash on me. Sometimes I'll buy them food. Sometimes I don't do anything. I try to go with what my gut's telling me. I've had some really touching experiences helping people out it whatever way I can 😊
@AuthorJFuller Spending the whole day at one of those massive malls from the 90s, browsing our favorite shops, maybe buying a few things, and eating our meals at the food court. Taking breaks from the strolling to sit and chat. People watching and laughing at human foibles.

It's not all about plot! Honestly, it would have been easier to _not_ have a trans character, but that's who he is.
@paranoiapen@SilverRFiction Same here. My first complete novel draft was so weird and really irredeemable. But what I gained as a writer from the experience is priceless.
@LindenmuthWendi A lot darker than I am now; I'm super pale and start to burn within ten minutes of being in the sun. If I were naturally dark I could spend a lot more time outside without worry.
@MorganSloan215 My pantsing generally comes out in creative work: writing, cooking, sewing... When it comes to _life_ (travel, school, housekeeping), I like to have a plan. When that gets derailed (as it will) it's super stressful. But I messed up my cookie batter? No worries! Now it's a cake!
@MelissaGijsbers hall light shine right into my face. I hated it, _and_ it was utterly unnecessary because I had an alarm set for like ten minutes later that I always got up for; but could I have those ten extra minutes to sleep? Apparently not... 😔
@MelissaGijsbers Ok...well if Mom is making the kids go to bed, maybe Dad is the one who wakes them up in the morning: turning on the overhead lights, blaring annoying music... When I was a teen, my dad would open my door a crack and call in to wake me up, then leave the door open letting the
