@StephenClarkeNZ@warsocjournal@drjeansmith My father fondly recalls pulling into Simonstown on the HMNZS Royalist (post-Suez Crisis) when the South Africans requested that the Maori sailors should not disembark. Apparently the whole crew decided to stay on board in support and left early for the next port of call Colombo.
@dfeyeandal@youthmappers@mapillary Hi Feye, You should have a look a the GoPro Max. Works seamlessly with Mapillary. Built-in GPS so no mucking around with GPX files. See my recent trip to Camiguin Island - https://t.co/ZalM2VMhuz. We have these being used across the Pacific with great results.
@PJKeay@JebBrooks@ChangiAirport INU (Nauru) is INT only and the main apron is also a road so closed when a plane(s) is on the tarmac (sometimes for days).
@DWB55 Great story! There are 7 editions of the French (and GSGS reprints) of the 1:50,000 series topographic sheet of Baadaran at the @nlagovau . Really illustrates the harsh terrain. https://t.co/ebibdQUYuj
@PeteMcPhail No, but a big fan. IMHO sets the standard for historic battlefield visualisation. https://t.co/iT4o3qhzU9 is another project, with rumors that they may look at some WWII Pacific battles.
