I’m on #ThreadsApp - not sure I’m excited about backing a Zuckerberg app, but lesser of two evils as Twitter fades into irrelevance.

Do you remember stubby bottles? They were something that seemed uniquely Canadian and then, one day, they were gone.
To this day, there is nostalgia for those bottles, but what is the history of the stubby?
Let's learn more :)

@grok based on my tweets, likes, follows, followers, and other activity on Twitter, which craft brewery do I remind you of, and which one of their beers is most like me? And why?
More is on its way later this week to retailers around Saskatoon!
We’ve been having a tough time keeping up with you @StoonBerries diehards but our brewers have their rally caps on!

@rickyg14@JGasson_21 This is consistent with every other season since local beers have been available: local tallboys are the same price as “premium” MolsonCoors 355ml cans.
Per ml, it’s consistently been a better deal to buy local at Mosaic.
@rickyg14@JGasson_21 They were definitely $12.50
I think the nuance may be that this is the pre-tax price.
I bought 2, the total was $27.84 ($25+liquor tax (10%)+deposit ($0.20)+EHC ($0.14))
@rickyg14@JGasson_21 Sure. But I was doing apples-to-apples comparison to the $12.50 you mentioned for a small craft beer.
Given a choice of 473ml local for $12.50, or 355ml MolsonCoors “craft,” for $12.50, I’ll always take the bigger can - especially if it’s local.

@LozzieSK @bicycledoug I try to use it to keep track of beers I’ve tried, and my impressions of them.
Definitely logging far fewer of the beers I drink than 2 years ago. Partially because I’m drinking less, & partially because I used to log every beer - 2 zillas in an evening? Logged both 🤦🏼♂️
Give it a rest, @BeerCanada
“In order for [the tax] to cost you ten bucks next year you would need to drink 143 cases of beer”
“People as yet unborn will be of drinking age before this costs you a dollar a case…”

@JGasson_21@cdnbeer Makes sense.
Whenever I see a U.S. special order & a domestic, I have a hard time justifying the difference (especially since the US stuff tends to come in stale… recent expecting to this, though - a hopefully supply chain sign)
paid a premium for Cigar City at UC. stale.
