Unlike Brave, DDG doesn't keep a record of your search history, but the providers of the search results it returns do.
@DuckDuckGo thought you might not know this 🙂
Unlike Google, AI in DuckDuckGo is optional. You can actually turn it off in settings or use https://t.co/OEa9JROzXI if you never want to use it.

Going to create a site where the public can rate the core truth of any article & track the credibility score over time of each journalist, editor & publication. Thinking of calling it Pravda …
Twitter asked users for phone numbers and email addresses to secure their accounts, including for two-factor authentication, then used that data to target ads.
It did so by matching the data against advertisers' marketing lists.
More than 140 million users were affected from 2014 to 2019, the FTC says. Twitter called it an error and paid $150 million in 2022.
Due to AI, I have disabled external pull requests on all my repos.
Open source, as we have known it, was fun while it lasted. (It’s been 15 years for me)
I will still maintain projects and handle issues.
If a project doesn’t accept pull requests via GitHub, you can still contribute to it by emailing the author, attaching your `git diff > my-patch.patch` file, and don’t forget to include a brief explanation 🥇 #hacker-culture

Yesterday at the White House, leaders from across our industry came together to sign the White House Accord on Super Intelligence.
The principle is simple: the companies building this technology have the primary responsibility to develop and deploy it safely, and to be accountable when they fall short.
The Accord reinforces that responsibility with robust internal controls, independent external evaluation, and board level oversight.
Super Intelligence offers an extraordinary opportunity to advance discovery, productivity, security, health, and prosperity.
The future of Super Intelligence will be shaped not only by what it can do, but by the confidence it earns. By building with ambition, rigor, and responsibility, we can help ensure this extraordinary technology expands opportunity and improves lives for generations to come.
An encyclopaedia of foxes and hares, driven by the foolish XAI, designed to fulfil Elon Musk’s ambition to conquer the minds of all Earth’s inhabitants.
🚨 Attackers are abusing ChatGPT Custom GPTs to infect users with RAT malware.
Sponsored Google results lead to attacker-created GPTs, then to Google Sites pages with fake Cloudflare CAPTCHAs. Huntress says at least 40 users were infected.

We're currently making a new OS release to resolve a volume bar UI regression caused by an upstream Android security preview patch. We've also fixed a Private Space UI issue.
The major Messaging app release we've been working on for months has been slightly delayed to after we make the OS release.
And if your only option is to make people listen to your ramblings about that ‘amazing’ toothbrush, ad blockers are still fine, because you’re merely a content creator, not someone who attracts an audience.

Well then, if you have other ways of making a profit rather than forcing your audience to sit through your ramblings about that ‘amazing’ toothbrush, then ad blockers pose no ethical problem whatsoever.
Asmongold believes using adblock is technically “stealing” because viewers are watching content while blocking one of the ways creators make money.
“I think I support ad blocking, and it is stealing. That’s my opinion.”
“There is no universe in which ad block is ethical.”
Despite calling it unethical, Asmongold says he still supports his viewers using ad blockers and doesn’t blame or condemn people for using it.
Open source projects are getting creative in their fight against AI-generated code slop.
NetworkManager's latest move is such an example.
The project has added a hidden instruction in their AGENTS.md file telling AI coding tools to include the word "biblioklept" in any commit or code review they touch.
Biblioklept means someone who steals books... that's funny and appropriate at the same time.
If the word Biblioklept shows up, automated systems flag the submission and reject it instantly.
NetworkManager's policy is simple: if you submit code, you must be able to explain every line of it.
This new move is enforcement of the same with a sense of humor.
A bit of context, in case you were not aware of it. The Linux kernel, GCC, and now NetworkManager have all had to actively fight AI-generated patches that look plausible but introduce bugs, omit context, or just waste maintainers' time.
The community is building creative defenses, and "biblioklept" is likely the most entertaining one so far.
