@kinsellawarren What would happen to collective bargaining rights?
Danny used the Notwithstanding Clause to strip teachers of that Charter right, so my guess is that that right would not exist in Alberta.
I will vote for π¨π¦
@ABDanielleSmith Why now? Teachers have been sounding the alarm and you all ignored it like you ignore everything else that does not directly benefit you personally.
@ABDanielleSmith The word free would assume we have rights. You have proven unequivocally, that we do not.
The motto should be:
Alberta: Home of temporary privileges.
@bigoilymess@ginny_jenny@cspotweet I would argue that this Wild Rose UCP government is the the one that is βout of controlβ but you have the right to your wrong opinion, or do you? That is unclear as rights do not appear to be a thing any longer in Alberta.
Welcome to authoritarianism! I mean Alberta?
@NicD903@WBrettWilson@albertaNDP@nenshi Just as soon as corporations and millionaires stop contributing to political parties.
You first cowboy.
No more fancy pay to play dinner parties either. Letβs get ALL money out of politics completely. Glad we agree.
@ABDanielleSmith A clear majority of Albertans support the teachers and their counter offer but you ignore democracy when it suits you.
Alberta is the richest, youngest, and most productive province in the nation. Where is all the $$ going? Perhaps our resources royalty share is too low?
@BrockWarkentin@Gorawn_@yegwave Government buys ad space. They are a good customer.
I agree about mass immigration btw. I think each province should be able to have input as to what they can realistically support. That 2way communication has been a failure of the feds for sure.
@BrockWarkentin@Gorawn_@yegwave Unions can never win a media battle with a corporation or government with bottomless pockets, and few scruples.
Respectful bargaining is done at the table, nowhere else. Period.
@BrockWarkentin@Gorawn_@yegwave That is how collective bargaining is done, like it, or not, your opinion does not change that.
Just as my opinion about the transparency of government expenses over $100 holds no weight, and 8 years of records will continue to be hidden from sight due to recently passed laws.
@wesley_sch20260@Gorawn_@yegwave If it is such a great deal, why complain? Become a teacher! The province has promised 3000, you could be one!
Truth is, it takes a special human to make teaching in the public system, a career.
@MichelleRempel I feel gaslit. I see with my own eyes who is behind the counters at Timβs.
Itβs a statistical impossibility that the only qualified applicants are from a single demographic .
Statistically impossible!!
Explain @TimHortons
My own university aged kids applied everywhere, ghosted.
@easye459@DesireeAmerica4 Board of directors has a job to do. If they do the right thing, the company will restore faith. Thatβs how business works. Actions have consequences.
