A John MacArthur clip is going around right now where he says nothing political or social "has anything to do with the advancement of the kingdom of God."
Thousands of Christians are bookmarking it. Reposting it. Treating it like settled doctrine because a famous man said it in a confident voice at a Q&A.
Let me show you what your Bible actually says.
Joseph of Arimathea used his political standing to retrieve the body of Christ. Without his seat on the Sanhedrin, that body stays on the cross and the burial never happens. That was political standing used for the kingdom.
Daniel served in the government of Babylon. He governed as a believer inside a pagan empire, and God used that position to preserve an entire people.
Esther used her political position in a foreign court to stop a genocide. She walked into the throne room and risked her life because the kingdom of God was operating through that system.
Nehemiah had a political office under a pagan king. He used that office to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. Actual stone and mortar. A political act that directly advanced the purposes of God.
Moses walked straight into Pharaoh's court. Ten plagues targeted the political and religious systems of Egypt simultaneously.
Jesus Himself was executed by a political system. The crucifixion was a Roman political act. And the resurrection was God's answer to it.
The idea that the kingdom of God operates in some separate lane from politics and culture is not in your Bible. The entire Old Testament is the story of God working through nations, governments, judges, and kings.
And the theology is only half of why that clip matters.
The other half is how fast Christians adopted it as their own position without ever opening the text to check.
A famous man says something with authority and a clip goes viral. Thousands of believers treat it as settled.
I used to stitch my faith together from pieces of other men. A little of this pastor, a little of that podcast, whatever sounded smart that week. Then my kid asked me a question about the Bible and I realized I was quoting everyone except the Book.
That's the disease. We have been trained to follow personalities instead of Scripture. Trained to let a man's reputation do the work our own study was supposed to do.
You can respect a man and still hold his words up against the text. You should. That's what the Bereans did in Acts 17:11. They heard Paul preach and then searched the scriptures daily to see whether those things were so. The apostle Paul himself, and they still checked him.
If the Bereans checked Paul, you can check anyone.
Read your Bible.
Kennedy just said what half the country has been thinking for years. ‘Trust the experts’ stopped working the moment we found out the experts were lying. Dana didn’t have a comeback because there isn’t one.
Read this Fauci diary entry closely. Officials would not admit the vaccine was not stopping spread because it might weaken the legal case for mandates. That is not science. That is a cover-up to justify coercion.
For those that still don’t understand what Benghazi was all about:
🚨So here's the REAL story:
Ambassador Stevens was sent to Benghazi to secretly retrieve US made Stinger Missiles that the State Dept had supplied to Ansar al Sharia in Libya WITHOUT Congressional oversight or permission.
Sec State Hillary Clinton had brokered the Libya deal through Ambassador Stevens and a Private Arms Dealer named Marc Turi, but some of the shoulder fired Stinger Missiles ended up in Afghanistan where they were used against our own military. On July 25th, 2012, a US Chinook helicopter was downed by one of them. Not destroyed only because the idiot Taliban didn't arm the missile. The helicopter didn't explode, but it had to land and an ordnance team recovered the missile’s serial number which led back to a cache of Stinger Missiles kept in
Qatar by the CIA.
Obama and Hillary were in full panic mode, so Ambassador Stevens was sent to Benghazi to retrieve the rest of the Stinger Missiles. This was a "do-or-die" mission, which explains the Stand Down Orders given to multiple rescue teams during the siege of the US Embassy.
It was the State Dept, NOT the CIA, that supplied the Stinger Missiles to our sworn enemies because Gen. Petraeus at CIA would not approve supplying the deadly missiles due to their potential use against commercial aircraft. So then, Obama threw Gen. Petraeus under the bus when he refused to testify in support of Obama’s phony claim of a “spontaneous uprising caused by a YouTube video that insulted Muslims.”
Obama and Hillary committed TREASON!
THIS is what the investigation is all about, WHY she had a Private Server, (in order to delete the digital evidence), and WHY Obama, two weeks after the attack, told the UN that the attack was the result of the YouTube video, even though everyone KNEW it was not.
Furthermore, the Taliban knew that the administration had aided and abetted the enemy WITHOUT Congressional oversight or permission, so they began pressuring (blackmailing) the Obama Administration to release five Taliban generals being held at Guantanamo.
Bowe Bergdahl was just a useful pawn used to cover the release of the Taliban generals. Everyone knew Bergdahl was a traitor but Obama used Bergdahl’s exchange for the five Taliban generals to cover that Obama was being coerced by the Taliban about the unauthorized Stinger Missile deal.
So we have a traitor as POTUS that is not only corrupt, but compromised, as well and a Sec of State that is a serial liar, who perjured herself multiple times at the Congressional Hearings on Benghazi. Perhaps this is why no military aircraft were called upon for help in Benghazi: because the administration knew that our enemies had Stinger Missiles that, if used to down those planes, would likely be traced back to the CIA cache in Qatar and then to the State Dept’s illegitimate arms deal in Libya.
Forward this again and again and again until everyone reads the true story of Benghazi.
Fauci’s 'performance' today made me sick. Smug arrogance. Zero remorse. Zero accountability. He refused to answer a single question.
Sharing this again as a reminder: He used your tax dollars to fund the coronavirus lab research in Wuhan—and worked with the IC to cover it up. We deserve the truth and accountability.
Remember, all Muslim countries in the Middle East were once Christian.
When Muslims invaded them, they killed the men, raped the women, and enslaved the children.
That’s how those countries became Islamic. And that’s exactly what they’re trying to do in Europe and America now.
Florida AG James Uthmeier just launched a state investigation into Anthony Fauci.
Why?
Because Fauci spent his Senate hearing today pleading the 5th instead of answering questions about COVID.
Uthmeier said it best:
“Fauci’s lack of candor to Congress is unbelievable. It’s past time we get the truth of what happened during COVID.”
Biden’s pardon doesn’t protect him from state charges.
Florida is coming for answers.
This is how we do it.
Lead the way Florida.
You know who wasn’t allowed to plead the Fifth?
- everyone who was fired for not taking an experimental vaccine
- kids who dropped dead from heart attacks
- the beagles Fauci tortured and killed
I could go on, but the bottom line is that there’s an untouchable class in Washington that represents the biggest blackpill of my generation. And until it is dismantled this country will never return to its full potential.
🚨STOP SCROLLING: Everyone Should Bear Witness To This Savage TAKEDOWN of Dr. Fauci by Senator Josh Hawley.
Watch as he DECIMATES Fauci and makes him SQUIRM in his seat.
This is how all of our Representatives and Senators in Congress should act.
Total MASTERCLASS
We just finished our first year of homeschooling, and I recently went to the world’s largest homeschool convention. What I learned is… there’s so many right ways to homeschool. There’s so much out there, and so many ways to make it work for your family. Spend the first year finding a rhythm that works for y’all. So much can be learned by just reading and discussing. Some things like math and writing have to actually be done on paper and practiced, but writing can integrate with whatever is being read, whether it’s the Bible, fiction, history or science. I found homeschooling to be easier than I expected, and I was helping both of our kids catch up. The hard part for us specifically was figuring out what my kids had learned and what they hadn’t. IXL was an enormous help there.
Have some grace for yourselves - you’re learning how to do this and it’s okay to figure it out as you go. I would recommend picking something for math and sticking with it for the year since it builds on itself (we’re trying Saxon this year, have heard it’s very good; we used Kumon workbooks last year since we were filling in gaps, which were great for specific skills) and read read read for everything else, and write about some of what he reads. Start there and see how it works for y’all.
I know you’re not in Florida, but FPEA can be a helpful resource. They have a podcast that’s encouraging too. There are audio files you can download for a few dollars each from their homeschool conventions over the years, so that might be helpful to hear some people speak on the biggest questions you may have if you’re not finding answers for free elsewhere. I would highly suggest going to a convention the next time one rolls around, even if it’s out of state (find states that hold conventions you might be interested in going to, and get on their mailing lists). I found it super encouraging and learned a lot that boosted my confidence in selecting material for our kids and deciding how I wanted to structure things for this coming year.
I remember bottle feeding one of my papa’s calves when his mama died shortly after giving birth. It was my favorite thing to get to feed him. I mixed in double the powder so the milk was extra sweet and rich, and sometimes I’d feed him more times than I was supposed to. He liked me a lot 😆
If anybody wants to know why Gen X is always mad, it's because they had to replace their record collections with a tape collection that they had to replace with a CD collection that they had to replace with an MP3 collection, and now they need a subscription to listen to music
