I took on a new position as Assistant professor of Social and Cultural Anthropology at @VUamsterdam @FSW_VU

So excited for this step in my career, back to anthropology, surrounded by amazing new colleagues and exciting educational programmes!

UG at the forefront of modernising Dutch Academia! Ius promovendis can also be given to Assistant Professors!

Reminder: this is just a recognition of something happening for a long time, as assistant professors are primary supervisors of (most?) PhDs

News: From now on, asst. professors at the UG are able to act as primary supervisor when supervising PhD students. This was decided by the PhD Board on 14 Feb. Assistant professors can obtain the ius promovendi under certain conditions 🎓
