Science Teacher for the Gates Chili Central School District. Part time movie theater manager. Eternally lost to the pull of Laserdiscs and computer hardware.
A Marvel spokesperson has confirmed that “AI was not used in the creation” of the new ‘THE FANTASTIC FOUR: FIRST STEPS’ posters.

@brianchaley Walked out of Citywalk and remarked to my sister that it was 90 minutes of tension and fear. Couldn’t believe it. Have seen it 4??? Times since opening weekend and I still can’t believe it exists.
And then he follows up with 3 hours of Oppenheimer, which feels just as long.
Companion was not, by most metrics, a great movie, but there's a gunshot that ripples loudly through the ceiling speakers in Atmos that pretty much makes the premium viewing worth it.
Most Atmos mixes are pretty moot, so I have to celebrate the ones that really make it worthy.
Oops! This director has made an incredibly political statement under the guise of making art that’s apolitical. A classic choice to make!
Unfortunately this make the director a coward and person who’s no longer worthy of my respect! I hope we do not book any of his titles.
@DanielGorman20@GentleDoofus Saw Twisters 4 times because I just absolutely fell in love with that Atmos track that I ran flat out at 7.0 on the Dolby fader and yeah….big cowardly vibes across the whole movie. Lots of climate change storylines with real estate and natural disasters, but no questioning why.
Listen. I saw Cars 2 in 2011 on Kodak Premiere 2393 high contrast 35mm print film. Kids these days just don't get it.
(For the record, my dad, who worked on Kodak print film through 2014, still talks proudly about how good 2393 was. RIP to that process)
I love that young people are going out of their way to support film on film, it’s just funny to me as an old guy that every terrible movie I saw for most of my life was on film. Like, any piece of shit 90s garbage you can think of - yup, I saw it on 35mm baby!
Saw The Brutalist again, and boy oh boy am I mixed in its inclusion of Zionism, and Judaism in general.
Like I’m not mad that it’s in there or whatever, but I’m not really sure what Corbet is trying to say through it???
Anyways I still really dig It. The whole bests its parts.
@dimension__tide It's the weakest part of the movie by far, to the point where its the greatest argument against it being a best picture frontrunner.
Just enough mention to get the ball rolling. Not enough to mean anything.
@DanielGorman20 The 2.00:1 and 2.39:1 era of TV is a sham. So much empty space.
For what its worth, I liked Severance when it was a little seen Apple TV+ program that felt somewhat distinct 3 years ago, but years of dissection and waiting have diminished it immensely.
Man this guy needs to talk to better doctors.
They’ve been coming after me for vitamin D levels since I was a teen. Gotta love that consistently overcast northeast weather.
Low vitamin D levels are linked to almost every major disease—cancer, diabetes, depression, heart disease, and autoimmune disorders. Yet doctors barely talk about it.
Guess why?!
just read about Watto and feel gutted. yes he was a child slaver, yes he risked their death by podrace, yes he resold Shmi at a late age. but let's not forget he stood up to the jedi's tricks, he had a cool hat, and cared about his slaves a little bit. his legacy will live on
Unbelievably funny that the British Pop Star Is a Monkey movie got a best visual effects nod.
I loved the film, and the visual effects do rock. Its just so silly that exists the way it does at all.
