Rage baiting is what Proverbs 26 warns about.
Donât get pulled into dumb arguments.
And donât stay silent when truth matters.
Wisdom is knowing when to speak
& when to walk away.
No matter how slow the elderly person ahead of you in line is, and no matter your hurry, when they turn and apologize you always smile gently and say take your time. ALWAYS.
Honestly my issue isnât the kids not knowing the words itâs their inability to phonetically sound it out and attempt to say it.
Reality is some words are going to be uncommon to certain people but the inability to use phonics is disheartening.
Bring Hooked on Phonics back!
Obviously giving a tablet to a 4 year old is total madness. There is no upside for the child. Itâs all downside. Parents do it for one reason and one reason only. To keep their kids quiet and docile so that they (the parents) can spend more time on their own devices.
Girls, please PICK THE GENTLE ONE. The kind one. The one who brings you peace. The protective one. The one who is sure of you. The one who respects you. The one who understands your silence.. The one who sees your heart without judgment. The one who holds your dreams with care.
Tolerating a man always turns to resentment. At first, you call it patience, then love. But what it really is, is self-abandonment. Every time you swallow a boundary, excuse a pattern, or silence your discomfort, something inside you keeps score. And eventually, the bill comes due
This Is The Life songwriter Shari Short thanks Hannah Montana for changing her life:
âOne day, Jeannie called me and said they wanted to use "This Is the Life" in a Disney TV show. A young 12-year-old girl named Miley Cyrus was going to re-record it.
We had no idea what was coming.
That song ended up on Hannah Montana an album that went triple platinum and hit #1 on Billboard for three weeks.
I still remember the moment I received my first check from Disney. I had just finished a shift at work, opened it in my car... and completely broke down in tears. It was more than I had made in an entire year working both jobs combined.
it changed my life.
If you were watching Hannah Montana back then... you were part of that journey too.
We were all in it together.
So for that, I just want to say thank you to Jeannie Lurie, Hannah Montana, to Miley Cyrus... and everyone at Disney ....my life was forever changed because of you.â
You see her saying goodbye and hugging her younger self, but a whole generation sees the end of their childhood sleepovers, concert DVDs, and the best era of Disney, all over again after a brief comeback. Nostalgia will be the death of me, but at least I got to live it.
