Anyone else fallen victim to this utter bastard recently? My family and I were gearing up to move imminently. Now my baby daughter has to continue sharing her bedroom with her parents. Shame on you, Adam Kiziak.
Thought I will provide updates on my lease extension I am currently going through for the benefit of other leaseholders in similar situation. #leasehold
I have had 2 sales not go through on £195,000 flat in Teesside because the ground rent is £390 a year classing it as an AST
After a bit of time offline, sadly I’m back with all my leaseholder woes! L&Q leaseholders - have you had any deficits on your service charge final bills this year? Ours comes out soon (we’ve never had deficits before) and I’m nervous…
"According to the government’s own data, the average service charges leaseholders pay is now £3,634."
Mine is now £6k pa @RFAssociation and your "professional freeholder" member E&M has been exclusively focused on frustrating building safety remediation for the last 7 years.
@primaryteachew I have similar reports from Year 5 when I was being bullied relentlessly and dealing with my parents’ bankruptcy at home. All teachers noted ‘laziness’ and ‘constant staring out of the window’. No one thought to ask if anything was wrong. I really look out for my classes!

Cracking ‘paint match’ job from @LQHomesMatter here. Only had to wait three YEARS for this. Please tell me you’re coming back to sand it down and do it PROPERLY soon?? @LQcontactus
@LQcontactus 2/ Could you please escalate this as I do not see why we should shoulder the cost for this, given the excessive amount of breakdowns. Surely if it were fixed properly, this would be unnecessary. Frankly, the whole thing feels like flagrant profiteering from L&Q at this point.
1/ @LQHomesMatter @fifletcher This time your negligence has gone too far. I have just been freed from the lift in our block by firemen after 50 MINUTES stuck in there with my poorly 5 month-old baby. A BABY.
@LQcontactus 1/ Hi Susi, thanks for your apology. However, this is not the first time - even this week - that our lift has broken down. The repair process is clearly not fit for purpose and WE are the ones footing the bill for this dangerous inconvenience.
@LostInSW19 Thank you, and completely agree re existing stock. It’s been a bit of an afternoon, but the fear has now very much given way to white-hot rage now. L&Q will very much be hearing from me tomorrow when I’m less liable to swear 😆
13/ My dad was the one who gave me the money for my deposit on this place. Now he’s gone, his ‘legacy’ to me is in absolute pieces. Shame on you for letting this sort of thing become the everyday for leaseholders. ‘Homes matter’? Evidently profits matter more.
12/ Everything about our flat has been done on the cheap and is shoddy as hell. Case in point - our floor tiles ‘move’ and have cracked because of some strange underlay that’s been used. Great.
