Yesterday, Sky News and a number of different news outlets ran a story about an 18-year-old woman who was on trial for attempted murder. In that article, a false claim was made about Patriotic Alternative.

The article was centred on a woman by the name of Alina Burns, who had attacked a Kurdish man with an axe in August of 2025. Miss Burns entered a guilty plea and is now awaiting sentencing.

The article published by Sky News erroneously claimed that Alina Burns was a member of Patriotic Alternative – this is not true, we can categorically state that Miss Burns has never been a member of the organisation, nor did she ever attend any Patriotic Alternative events.

Alina Burns did briefly contact the organisation, but broke contact with us after being sent our Code of Conduct which details the behaviour and standards we expect from all members. The Code of Conduct strictly forbids the endorsement or glorification of either violence or terrorism.

Patriotic Alternative is a community-based group that advocates for the rights of indigenous Britons through the means of community building, advocacy and activism. We wholeheartedly reject calls for violence and condemn the actions taken by Miss Burns.
