Year 5 of a failing rebuild and the Nationals drafted a 17 year old SS instead of a proven (and likely more expensive) college arm in Anderson
Hopefully it works out...
IMO, it's not a great look for the fanbase. Basically telling the fans to buckle up for a continued rebuild.

@johnhollinger Would you really say it was THAT much of an overpay? 25-26 BKN picks were going to be top-5 regardless. PHX ‘27 and the two 29 picks are valuable, but BKN gave up 3 lottery tix for 2 w/ more certainty + that pay out sooner. I’d say BKN won the trade unless HOU trades for Booker.
The Charlotte Hornets announce the franchise has hired Boston Celtics assistant Charles Lee as their new head coach. Lee has spent the last 11 years as a highly-respected assistant in Atlanta, Milwaukee and Boston.
Stetson Bennett going DEEP 😳
Bennett has reportedly been “impressive”’so far at training camp.
Matthew Stafford (Rams QB) said that Bennett has shown how “athletic” he is as well.
Stafford also said after practice yesterday that Bennett is a “talented kid.”
Don’t SLEEP on the Rams rookie QB.
@drastik29 @ChaseHughesNBCS Winger was in OKC from 2010-17. Bledsoe, Reggie Jackson, and Steven Adams were good finds for a team always in the back half of the draft. OKC is the league’s best at stockpiling picks, actually executing is a mixed bag I’d say.
RIP Ted Lerner. Built this city, built Tysons Corner. The Lerner name is impeccable everywhere. He won a World Series for the fans of the @Nationals. Family First. Husband, father, grandfather, great-grand father, business icon and GIANT. Will never be another like Mr. Ted Lerner
