@haniimhome I think it’s just 2000s pop star raunchiness making a comeback. people got tired of the bedroom pop/lofi shit of the 2010s so now we’re back to 2000s tackiness and glamour.
@ruIe8am pop culture has gotten really stagnant like i’m not saying there hasn’t been any differences between 2021 and now, but they’ve been very minor. In 2006, everyone was using digital cameras, by 2016, everyone owned iphones, but even after 10 years, we’re all still using iphones now
@avasPALLADIUM This angers so much because we could literally have an electropop resurgence in music now if the general public gave artists like slayyter, pinkpantheress, underscores, frost children a chance, but they’d rather listen to the most uninspired boring plain country shit
@antidives no cause i’m sayingg… why is twitter suddenly filled with people born in 2004-2010… like I keep seeing profiles with 16 on their bio and it feels so eerily odd seeing people born in 2010 on this app. We’re getting older oof
@bleurelic@laurenjesholmes You’re a conventionally attractive guy who lives in a city where it’s super easy to make friends. I don’t think your experience really aligns with the average.
@noirsirens@adelkazz it’s not 2008-2014 anymore, the general public is over the electropop sound in music. they’re streaming shit like country instead
