@moonlightmani_ the average girl group’s lifespan lasts for about 4-5 years max. I don’t see them making it out beyond 2030.
Spice Girls had a really short career too.
@QOCPERRY Exactly like Streaming damaged the music industry so much. If I’m not wrong, the last album to really accumulate over a million sales was Adele’s 25 from 2015 and no album since then has managed to top that either.
@SamPric09472476@pinkbunnies222@letsckse Just look at her age, she’s 18 lmao. Younger Gen Z are more brainwashed by online conservative propaganda, puritanism and are ultimately stupid. These idiots can’t even write a full essay without relying on AI, it’s pointless arguing with them.
@arianalife0 somebody said chappell roan is the cyndi lauper of this decade who had a successful debut album and then flopped right after. Cyndi Lauper was also extremely huge in 1984 on par with Madonna only for her to fade out the following year
@messmerot these are the same type of women who would absolutely seethe at pretty hot women IRL just existing in and getting all the attention from people btw
@im_zombii@crynxtor What would a 18 year old she/they know about Pussycat Doll’s impact? You barely even remember 2015, why should I take you seriously looool
@Cazzy To be specific, they’re becoming like the Elder GenXers born in the 60s who were pretty conservative when they were young in the 80s too, Reaganism & Yuppies.
@im_zombii@crynxtor You mean the gap around 2010–2011? There wasn’t really one girl group dominating during that period, while One Direction was filling that spot on the boy-band side. Maybe The Saturdays if you were in the UK.
@busunuyum@crynxtor This is a list of the biggest girl groups, not a ranking of who pioneered or invented anything. As a group, aespa is nowhere near as big as Katseye in the West.
