KBeam is a Kaspa-based messenger and payment app.

Kaspa is the source of truth for KBeam. The Kaspa network provides the base layer for wallet identity, payments, contact discovery, and reliable on-chain fallback.
On top of that, KBeam runs its own application-layer messaging protocol, designed specifically for fast, private communication.

Messages are end-to-end encrypted, and push notifications are encrypted as well. Push is used for instant delivery, while the chain/indexer path provides reliability and catch-up when a device was offline or push was unavailable.

KBeam is not built on Signal, Matrix, XMPP, or Telegram. It is a custom protocol built around Kaspa, encrypted messaging, encrypted push, and decentralized fallback.

Igra node operators and attesters: Mainnet Toccata (KIP-21) node upgrade is here!

Two phases, both required.

Phase one, now: please pull v3.0 and move the backend (kaspad/reth) to 3.0, workers stay on 2.3 (see full guide below). Safe to run today and through the fork, so do it early. A node still on the old backend at activation falls off the chain and stalls.
Activation at fixed Kaspa DAA score, estimated around June 30. We'll signal when it's crossed.

Phase two, after activation: upgrade the workers to 3.0. This is mandatory for writes to function properly, especially for attesters. Don't enable early either, only once you're confirmed past the boundary.

Attesters: it is recommended to pause attestations before applying phase 2.

We hear the Kaspa community and understand why dynamic address support is important. kaspa:native is technically different from Bitcoin-like UTXO networks such as BTC, LTC, DOGE, etc. Its architecture requires a separate implementation approach, so this feature cannot be added in the same way as for other UTXO-based networks.

That’s why dynamic address support is being rolled out step by step. We started with networks where the implementation of this feature is the same, while Kaspa requires additional dedicated work and validation before it can be delivered properly.

Kaspa is a priority and the team is actively working through the technical scope right now. We’re not putting a firm date on it yet because we want to deliver it right, but the Kaspa community hasn’t been forgotten and we’ll come back with concrete timing once it’s confirmed.
