After teaching both kids and adults for so many years, I have learned who piano lessons are most appropriate for, and I have news for you...it's not always the kids.

@rudiseitz One thing that helped me get there is that I decided my practice needs to feel effortless or there is something I need to fix or change (usually tempo but sometimes scope of practice). Anyways, this speaks to me.
@rudiseitz When you arrived at the "patient, supportive, always ready to help" point of thinking about your instrument, I can relate, as I have arrived there on piano as well.

I talk about what successful people do and how I've tried to mirror them.

When you are learning to play an instrument, don't be so particular about what songs you play, especially in the beginning.
Think of every piece of music as a puzzle to be solved.
