What a journey.

So thankful I got to experience the rush of the World Cup knockout stage in my home country 🇺🇸 , while cheering for my birth country 🇦🇷.

I cheered, I cried, I laughed, I suffered, I held my breath so many times.

But getting 3 chances to see the GOAT on the biggest stage imaginable….it was worth every penny. I’d do it all over again if I could.

And Spain? Holy shit. Spain was the better team in every way, and no qualms about it. What a masterclass performance. We got absolutely destroyed LOL.

If it is Messi’s last international rodeo - it’s definitely a heartbreaker but one I understand completely. Giving us a 2nd World Cup Trophy in a row and 4th international championship in a row would have been icing on the cake compared to every single other thing he did in his career. But all good things come to an end.

I’m honored to even have been a brief witness to it.

I’m thankful that something like football exists that brings out this much passion. For me it’s Smash, but for the vast majority of the world - nothing comes close to the beautiful sport.
