Do the dumbasses they love to find look up or pay attention to what's said on their own website or TOS? Of fucking course not...

"MUTUAL GUEST" is what Booking/Expedia calls YOU. And so you can save 5 bucks they hope for people who are like... "Yeah, let me just give all my info to some multinational operation and hope my credit card information is safe..."

That sounds like a smart plan to save 5 bucks... 😂 (NOT!)

Meanwhile if ya need a refund they blame the hotel even though they never gave the hotel your actual credit card in the first place let alone your phone number gosh forbid the place burned down before ya got there... (That's now the scammers info now btw...) They give the hotel the equivalent of a to single use gift card when you prepay, not your personal CC.

It's a reverse scam... Instead of asking for "Grandma" to buy gift cards to pay them, they give the hotel gift cards and hope something goes wrong so they can keep both yours and the hotels' money because you BOTH broke THEIR contract.

That's the 3'rd party scam... I've been fighting against this for over 20 years and my voice alone can't help everyone.

Reach out to me for help if ya need it, but I will tell you the truth. You're probably fucked if you booked third party, as third parties are often out to fuck not only you but the hotels too now. If they were reputable, they would refund or find you a new hotel despite the loss of review...

If you book direct, the hotel you booked with will find you a new place if something goes wrong. That is a staple in the hotel industry to do so... But again if you have a problem with a third party, you'll realize you've been scammed and who has your credit card information information is in some other country with some jeet saying "me name is Bob..."

I just saved myself a lot of work giving out that info quite plainly.
