Our machinists at Kirie Water Reclamation Plant in Des Plaines rescued an injured hawk this morning. Staff contacted local animal control and they safely delivered the hawk to @flintcreek for recovery. Get well soon friend! @bobdolgan @chicago_birder @Audubon_GL @chicagoriver

Why do opossums and raccoons seem to waddle when they walk? It is because they move opposite front and hind feet at the same time (as shown here). This can make their tracks in snow even more interesting!
