@Yuurei_cosplay I agree, indeed the level of toxicity is sometimes very high. but I believe it doesn't depend on the ship but on the people themselves. if not ff shipping, they'd found another way to be toxic. they are everywhere, in every fandom, because it's bigger problem than just this
it's been almost a year that I've worked in Jp gamedev environment, and what I've realized considering ff7:
shipping (worldwide!) helps the project more than official marketing bc marketing is 100% Jp and simply can't be effective worldwide due to cultural differences.
@k3ntruong_thai I don't think that's what Nomura-san wanted when he requested to implement T into the story, so I wouldn't blame devs. but for sure marketing does know what they're doing when using shipping wars as a promotion tool...
@Rooblebelt don't worry. those who does understand the jp narrative, will be the happiest at the end after all. nothing to worry about, no one to worry about🤭🙃
@Rooblebelt I feel you. but then again, we're all people with our own hearts and heads, we don't have to all agree to feel equally on any situation. you be you, you're beautiful and you don't have to worry about others🤗
devastating downfall of the company that once banned players for insulting the characters.
I hope the team will find better place for their talent.
and I will keep supporting games for women only, but no longer this one.
people shouldn't get angry if they didn't understand the games they supposedly love, especially angry at developers. maybe blame the marketing that confused you, maybe blame the community who lied to you. but not the game director who made the games happen in the first place.
@LandiLodge time and space aren't chronological in Lifestream. even if Re came out of AC (which are plenty indications for) it:
a) is still another timeline;
b) rewrote the AC future from happening at the end of 1st game - basically making it non-canon for Re.
@Memon207@mujyakisan@Nanayuna__ sorry for including myself, but this last line sends us to an old question: do they or do they not use false marketing? if they do, then yes, fanservice > promises of a whole story, sad, but not unexpected. if they don't, then we still may expect something new from Revelation.
@KenMastersUSA@BagiOdd nothing, Ken. they just keep using JP natural language ambiguity to try and turn it to appease their agenda. since the "unrequited" 恋人 legend I can tell it's absolutely intended every time. sad when there's nothing but cultural disrespect to protect their views.
@PascalFern26527@Nanayuna__ Nomura-san stepped back from the director's position and Hamaguchi-san took it instead, so he does make decisions story included. while Nojima-san is an invited writer, he decides "how" but not "what"🙇🏻♀️
