Very pleased to have this preprint online! Investigating spatial predictive context during visual search using RIFT, together with @flodlan and @EelkeSpaak
As one of the 1st authors of Cogitate, I’m proud that we have challenged BOTH theories. That shouldn’t be eclipsed by the current mess.
I hope the community will take the time to read our open response to the open review
My 1st PhD paper (with @flodlan & @MariusPeelen) is now out in JEP:HPP🥳! We found attentional templates can be biased by distractor expectations, emphasizing diagnostic shape dimensions in blocked & interleaved contexts (https://t.co/FaDVBaQkRV). Preprint 🧵& pdf 👇
Have I told you my lab is awesome? So proud and beyond happy to spend more time getting inspired by @YamilVidal_arg @EvaBerlot and Lea-Marie Schmitt and looking forward to get inspired by @fffjudit
The Donders Institute has been awarded four grants from the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions fund. All obtained by researchers from the same lab, led by @flodlan.
A huge congratulations to Lea-Maria Schmitt, @YamilVidal_arg, @EvaBerlot and @fffjudit.

In this project spearheaded by Aisu Li, we found no evidence for suppression due to across-trial distractor regularities. Initially, Aisu was disappointed with the null result, but 5 experiments later we are convinced that this is an interesting finding!
16-19 March: @insciencefilm Festival!
The programme consists of the best science #films of the year with talks, debates, Q&A’s and expositions on #science🧪 and #art🎨
Come to get a glimpse of the research that is being conducted at #Donders!

RIFT is promising as a method, but a lot still needs to be figured out. Happy to read this preprint that investigates some of the important questions (how high can you go? What size stimulus etc.)
Rapid Invisible Frequency Tagging (>50 Hz) works brilliantly for assessing neuronal excitability in the human visual system - what are the optimal papers (stimulus size, frequency, eccentricity?) https://t.co/XdvGGT0nfn
