Thank you to residents across Vauxhall and Camberwell Green for putting your trust me in me. 🌹🌹🗳️🗳️
I am honoured to be re-elected for the new constituency and I look forward to working alongside all of you.
My prayers are with the family of the driver killed in the Bedford train crash, and all those who have been injured. May God comfort and protect them, and equip all those who are caring for them in the aftermath of this tragic incident.
Good sunny ☀️ walkabout along the busy Camberwell Green/Denmark Hill speaking to business about local issues with the fab @CamberwellGnLab Councillors @jenthornton01 & James.
My thoughts are with the family and loved ones of the train driver who has tragically lost their life in yesterday's collision near Bedford.
This is a devastating loss and the whole rail family will be deeply saddened by the news.
Worries to hear of what appears to be a serious incident early this morning on Cowley Road SW9 junct near Normandy Road SW9. I hope that no one was injured 😞
The area is still cordoned off please seek alternative routes.
I have contacted the police for an update.@AnnieGallop
Calling for "all of Lebanon to burn" is a horrendous and abhorrent statement from an Israeli Minister who has rightly been sanctioned by the UK Government.
We call on both Israel and Hizballah to comply with the agreed ceasefire, and ensure that all civilians are protected.
The Housing, Communities and Local Government Committee has endorsed the appointment of Bill Butler, the government's preferred candidate for Chair of the Local Audit Office.
Following a pre-appointment hearing on 16 June, our report is published ⬇️

Joe has been very measured here. Uncomfortable is an understatement.
This deeply flawed bill has been rejected by the checks and balances of Parliament.
Why anyone would bring back this legislation - at this point in time for the country - is beyond me. I despair.
Ten years ago today, our beloved friend and colleague, Jo Cox, was murdered. Today we are all thinking of Jo, of her family, friends, and all those who loved her.
Every day, we strive towards creating the world that she believed in, and remember her words:
“We are far more united and have far more in common than that which divides us".
Many congratulations Peter - looking forward to working with you to to build on the success of our UK Nigeria team. A big thank you to our outgoing HC @RMontgomeryUK for his leadership and commitment over the years. 🇬🇧 🇳🇬 @UKinNigeria
8. Maybe the most striking thing, however, is the words which aren’t in Edwards’ statement:
Poverty. Disability. Mental health. Social care costs. Feeling a burden. Domestic abuse.
Hospices. NHS.
Where to even start with this, I mean there is nothing else major going on locally, nationally or internationally for us to deal with.
A big thank you to the ‘Unelected Minority’ in the Lords for doing their job in trying to make the first bill safe for the most vulnerable.
Nine years on from Grenfell, we remember the 72 people who lost their lives & the community still fighting for justice.
We must never allow people to be dismissed and ignored & it is important that the new Building Remediation bill brings an end to unsafe homes. #Grenfell
