@bre That's not my work (not sure whose it is). I wrote the freestyle svg exporter, that allows you to display these images in the browser and edit in e.g. inkscape. For the artistic side of things, perhaps the @BlenderNPR folks can help you out?

@AlfaCriciumense No, needs an external tool (like inkscape).Optimizations (except a higher freestyle sampling) are svg, not blender specific
