Most people are using OpenAI Codex wrong.
They treat it like:
“here’s my whole repo, go build stuff.”
That can burn $100/day FAST.
Better workflow:
1. Dev + ChatGPT define ONE small task
2. Codex uses SCOUT-mode first
→ identifies minimum file set
3. ChatGPT writes precise PATCH prompt
4. Codex edits ONLY allowed files
5. ChatGPT reviews
6. Dev tests + pushes
Result:
- smaller diffs
- fewer regressions
- lower token burn
- dramatically cheaper
- much better architecture discipline
Model/intelligence tips:
Low:
- tiny fixes
- CSS tweaks
- copy updates
Medium:
- normal feature work
- safest default
High:
- multi-file logic
- SQL/data flow
- integrations
Extra High:
- architecture
- debugging nasty systems
- migrations/refactors
- use sparingly ($$$)
Rule:
Don’t use “Extra High + whole repo” unless the task genuinely justifies it.
AI coding gets REALLY powerful when you stop treating the model like magic and start treating it like a senior engineer with billable hours.
Use of GLP-1 drugs and reduction of the need for knee replacement. This would be expected from the impact of weight loss effect, but another study in osteoarthritis found benefit independent of weight loss, attributed to GLP-1 anti-inflammatory action and cartilage protection

@peterrhague But if they’re not going to launch why not have a parallel pad that - in case of RUD - it won’t delay the whole program for 12 months while it gets rebuilt ?
@peterrhague How critical was this New Glenn test that it required a fully loaded fully explodable rocket on their ‘proper’ launch pad .. instead of using a more ‘expendable’ pad ?
@peterrhague ALL THESE WORLDS ARE YOURS, EXCEPT EUROPA.
ATTEMPT NO WATER MINING THERE.
YOUR DATA CENTERS THIRST FOR COOLING.
USE THEM TOGETHER. USE THEM IN PEACE.
