@AdaptAotearoa I'm building a house atm, it's north east facing to be sheltered from the hottest summer sun (west side is protected). I've also gone for a zincalume roof to reflect heat away. Here's hoping these are good decisions!
@manawatudc We have a work farm for green waste. We're rural-Colyton-and try to recycle most of the rest, but recycling stations are far (further than council rubbish drop off points), so that is likely part of the problem.
