For months, families across Gaza have relied on The Sameer Project kitchen for their next meal. Today, we are operating at only a fraction of our capacity. Donations have fallen, forcing us to reduce distributions and strip meals down to the bare minimum.

We can no longer provide meat. We can no longer provide chicken. We can rarely provide any meaningful source of protein. What remains are simple meals designed to keep hunger at bay for one more day.

When our teams arrive at camps, families ask us the same question: "Why?" Why are the meals smaller? Why are distributions less frequent? Why is the world leaving us now?

We do not have an answer for them.

On June 10, The Sameer Project distributed 485 ouzi rice and vegetable meals to families in Al-Hur Camp, Nuseirat at a total cost of $788 after 11% bank commissions.

The Sameer Project provides regular chronic illness medical days in camps that were identified by our medical committee. We return to the same camps every 2-3 weeks to refill the medication for patients with chronic illnesses. If we stop these days then that means the patients will be cut off from their medication.

On June 16th, The Sameer Project medical team visited Zahrat Al Shamal Camp in Deir El Balah and served 21 patients. Our mobile medical days for chronic illnesses cost a maximum of $1,500.
