Şimdi gelelim benim yoruma... Bundan yıllar önce bir iş ziyaretinde babası Yeşilçam’da yönetmen olan biriyle tanıştım. Biraz Türk filmleri ile ilgili sohbet ettik. Ve bu sohbette çok ilginç şeyler öğrendim...

“Abi, yabancılar bavulla dolar getiriyordu. Yapımcılara film çekmeleri için bu paraları dağıtıyordu. Senaryo hazır, oynayacakların listesi hazır,  yönetmenin ismi  bile ellerine veriliyordu.”

O dönemin Türk filmlerini bir aklınıza getirin. Yatlarda, yalılarda, içki gırla gidiyor, partilerde bikinili kızlar, yurtdışı seyahatleri, yabancı hayranlığı... Nasıl ama? Bavul dolusu paralar boşa gitmemiş değil mi?

Şimdi artık para harcamaya da gerek duymuyorlar. Hatta üzerine para bile alıyorlar. Kızlarımızı, erkeklerimizi, çıplaklığa, cinselliğe, alkole, kumara, yabancı hayranlığına daha küçücükken alıştırıyorlar.

“Hocam, kızım 5 yaşında. Hangi oyunu  tavsiye edersiniz?”

Yobaz! Gerici! Kadınları rahat bırak!

Yukarıdakiler, toplumumuzun yapısını korumaya çalışanlara her zaman edilmiş laflar.

Kadınları çok düşünselerdi daha 5 yaşında oyunlarına bu şeyleri koymazlardı.

İleriye gitmemizi çok istediklerini de sanmıyorum. Yani gerçekten gerici olsaydık ses etmezlerdi.

Yobaza gelince. Bakın bakalım onları yönetenlerin eşleri ve kızları nasıl giyiniyor…

I get it, there’s an urge to read something like this and be like…aww, he hates Israel 🥹.

But this is actually a very problematic and harmful classic liberal Zionist position - where one cannot possibly criticize Israel without condemning Hamas. And in doing so, forever perpetuating the condition of the oppressed.

This is equivalent to saying “slavery was more evil than the slave rebellions” or
“Nazis were more evil than the Jewish uprisings”.

No, enslaved people or those placed in concentration camps or those being subjugated by a violent powerful entity are not evil when they use violence to break free. They are, in fact, exercising their human and legal right to armed resistance.

It is said that the young man in the photo, named Ahmed Abdullah, was a pharmacist working in a pharmacy. Every month, an elderly poor woman would come to him for her medicine. She would then approach him at the cash register... Whenever she saw him, her face would light up with joy. For years, she had been buying this medicine, and this young man would only take 200 Egyptian pounds from her. She would pay and leave.
Then, the young man passed away... The elderly woman returned to the same pharmacy, requested her medicine, and went to the cash register to pay 200 pounds. But he was not there.
Before she could ask about him, the new cashier said: “What is this, madam?”She replied: “This is 200 pounds for the medicine.”He responded: “But this medicine costs 2,000 pounds, madam.”
Surprised, she said: “But for more than three years, I have been getting it for 200 pounds from the young man who was here... Where is he?”
The new cashier replied: “He passed away, madam. May God have mercy on him.” Upon reviewing the records, it was discovered that this young man had been covering 1,800 pounds of the cost every month from his own salary at the pharmacy.
When the pharmacy owner learned of this, he decided to continue selling the medicine to the woman at the same price as an ongoing charity (sadaqah jariyah) for the sake of the young man’s pure soul. The least we can do to honor this exemplary young man is to let his photo travel the world without stopping, so that everyone may pray for mercy upon him. He deserves recognition.

What words could ever describe such pain?
