#CustomerService#fail and #PlannedObsolecence: My #iPhone X battery is dying, but @Apple’s “geniuses” refuse to replace it, because of an indication that liquid had entered the (supposedly watertight?) case. The phone works perfectly except for the battery…
I am utterly disappointed in the #EU - our parliament just decreed that investing into #gas and #nuclear will be treated the same as any green energy investments into #solar or #wind. I am really angry to be part of this irresponsible European Union!
@Iberia Ideally, by actually resolving my complaint to get an invoice for my last flight in Feb, instead of just shutting them down with "go to our website". If that worked, I would not have to make a complaint!

Unbelievably poor client service by @iberia - it is impossible to contact anyone at that company if your issue does not fit any of their predefined issues - a nightmare.
Yearly HRW report: We still have no freedom of speech (can’t ridicule the ruling class) and continue the practice torture in Spain. But other things are getting better, e.g., we now provide schooling for migrant kids. https://t.co/xDnk6y07lS

Abro hilo.
"profit over lives" was always there -- in the fight against universal health insurance, in the destruction of social safety nets, in the refusal to do anything about climate change. But it's never been spelled out as explicitly as it is now
@lemire Living in #Madrid I can say it pretty much is, especially here, but even in all of Spain. Plus, at least Chinese Health Officials from the Red Cross are saying the quarantine in Lombardy and Madrid are not enough (e.g., public transport has to shut down).
For reference: Madrid started shutting down on March 14th (state of emergency), with around 100 deaths in a 7M people community. The final death toll for making the decision to shut down at that initial death toll will become apparent in about 18 days from now (28 days).
@GODFREY91844844 @JeffDean Note that I live in Madrid. These are no fake news. Coming to your place in a few weeks, if you don’t shut down *everything*. Note that Chinese health officials think our shutdowns here in Europe are too mild (e.g. public transport is a no-no)
@mbeisen How about asking him to add some pictures and videos of hospitals in Lombardy and Madrid, to visualize his suggestions? Because that would be the *best case scenario*, if someone were to follow his suggestions...
Our latest work asks: How many tests for COVID-19 are being performed around the world?

The chart compares the total number of tests performed per million people in a number of countries.
Data for *many* more countries you find at the link above.
@amrojasmendoza 100 C minus the pressure diff if above sea level. And inversely, higher if you can create more pressure artificially, e.g. an autoclave vapor has ~120.
