My students were always successful. It’s all about relationships, respect and teaching THINKING not memorizing.

@offgridteacher When my son turned one in the 80s a friend gave me 2 bottles of champagne. One was for that day to celebrate a year of motherhood. The other was saved and opened to celebrate my son’s 21st birthday. Best gift ever! 🥂🥂

@heymrsbond Does your choice have dialogue? I assign students to be character voices which keeps them focused so they know when to speak. Especially helpful when there are no dialogue tags and they need to determine which character is speaking. Voices change every chapter-ish.

@offgridteacher Union rep here, check your contract. If you’re staying home for Mr. OTG you may be able to take a year leave w/job return. That gives you to end of year to decide to return or resign. My district has that in the contract.

Yesterday I got my last start of school haircut and today I meet my 32nd and last class of students. My goal of the year is to make them as excited to be with me as my first class was. Have a great year! #teachertwitter
