Could have been a much bigger story but there were more seismic happenings going on…

McLaren knew about the issue during the race. That was the reason that Norris was advised by his engineer to slow down in certain corners like 11 and 17. These are corners that are normally easily taken flat-out, but then you do have sideways load, which causes the side of the floor to wear out more quickly. If it was petrol related, you would take your foot off the gas at the end pof the long straight and not in these corners.
