After a journey of more than 690,000 miles, the crew is nearly home.

The Artemis II crew will splash down off the coast of San Diego later today and, though it won’t be visible from land, you can still wave in their general direction to welcome them back to Earth! 👋

Over approximately 10 days, the Artemis II astronauts will orbit Earth twice before looping around the far side of the Moon in a figure eight and returning home.

The Artemis II mission launched from @NASAKennedy at 6:35pm ET (2235 UTC), propelling four astronauts on a journey around the Moon.

Artemis II will pave the way for future Moon landings, as well as the next giant leap — astronauts on Mars.

🔴Pan American World Airways, LLC’s Craig Carter unveils the name of its luxury charter: Yankee Clipper II. The aircraft, a Boeing 757-23N (TF-FIC) in classic Pan Am livery will depart JFK at 12:30 PM EST on the “Tracing the Transatlantic” tour.
