The Suspension of Operation/SoO agreement ends on 29th February 2024. Inspite of its terms being blatantly violated many times over by the militants, it is being kept alive. If GOI and GOM extends the agreement again this time, then it will be crystal clear these militants are being groomed and allowed to grow at the costs of indigenous people and their land for some sinister design of the State. The very location of these camps surrounding Imphal speaks volumes.

Geo-politics may be important but can never be superior to protection of lives and properties of own citizens. State failing to protect its citizens is sign of being a failed State.

We must never allow or accept any further extension of this SoO agreement. This needs to be abrogated in total.

On September 4, 2023 Special Procedure Mandate Holders of the #UnitedNations publish a press Note “India: UN experts alarmed by continuing abuses in Manipur”

While it is heartening that the UN took note of the crisis going on in #Manipur but it is extremely disappointing that a body like the UN had taken a very one sided and biased view of the genesis of the crisis and what is happening on the ground. The report seems to give the crisis a religious colour between Hindus and Christians whereas the Home Minister of India has stated on the floor of the Parliament that one of the root cause of the crisis is the illegals immigrants coming from Myanmar.

The report also seems to only focus on the problems faced by the #Kukis, completely sidelining the atrocities faced by the #meities, despite many speakers including Independent observers like the lady from Mizoram which gave a balanced and realistic picture of the crisis at the UN itself.

It is very important that the UN Reviews and Rectify this one sided and biased report.

Today I met the Hon'ble Education Minister of Manipur regarding a book which was prescribed as History book for Class XI syllabus of Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur. That book, named History of Manipur. It was written on page 9 Heading “The Kukis” second paragraph second line, that some Kuki Tribes migrated to Manipur hills in pre historic times. But according to ‘Manipur and Naga hills (1896)’ by Major Sir James Johnston, page 45, it was written that the term Kukis was heard between 1830 to 1840.

So, the quote mentioned in the mention textbook is completely wrong to use the term "pre-historic".

Therefore, I strongly urged to our Hon'ble Education Minister to completely ban this book which is still readily available in the market and make a press release or order from the Government side as the mentioned statement was taught for years to the Students.

Further, there is also a conspiracy to include Anglo Kuki War in Delhi University's syllabus. It is already said by Ministry of Home Affairs that that there is no Anglo Kuki war 1917-1919.
I will further inquire about it and will urge to take strict action against those who are related in this conspiracy.

I am completely shocked on hearing the assassination of Anand, SDPO Moreh by a sniper of the Kuki Militants. It shows a complete failure of the security. The Manipur Police has been playing a vital role in this crisis for our people of Manipur. But why is central Government and the State Government still an onlooker in this issue. Whom are we to trust when even the security forces’ lives are at stake. Where is the thousands of Central Forces and paramilitary forces? Why is Manipur entertaining them till date if they are of no use. The Home Minister, the NIA and the Governor of Manipur have already told that there is external aggression. So, isn’t it the duty of the Government to protect the Indian Citizens? So, who is going to give orders to stop this agression? We the citizens are confused of whom to trust. Don’t invite for a lawless society because we are a law abiding citizen. Both the Governments knows that Moreh is already a disturbed area. So who is going to take the responsibility? The Central or State Government or those who are security incharges? Please don’t confuse the citizens.

I also urge the State Government to act NOW. It is NOW or NEVER. Please leave aside political parties or your Seats. I urge every leader to stand up for the cause to save Manipur and its indigenous people, together.
